Johnson races to Victory Lane
To win a race like the Daytona 500, both the driver and car have to be preforming at a high level. This was the case for Jimmie Johnson as he debuted the new Chevy Generation-6 car on Sunday. Johnson was able to use the lighter, sleeker car to his advantage, making a close pass in front of Brad Keselowski for the lead prior to a late caution flag. The five-time Sprint Cup champion never looked back. He went on to Victory Lane, hoisting the Harley Earl Trophy for the second time in his career.
