Meadows, Frazier highlight prep class
While college pitchers and a few choice college hitters have dominated the headlines, the prep class boasts a handful of prospects who could crack the top half of the first round. Two of those first-round candidates are outfielders from the state of Georgia, among the nation's hotbeds for baseball talent.
Because Austin Meadows (Grayson, Ga.) and Clint Frazier (Loganville, Ga.) play for high schools in adjacent towns, scouts have been comparing them for a while. Each brings plus tools to the table and both players have at least a chance to be a top-five pick. Area scouts bearing down on this rural area must be able to answer the following question from their scouting director: Which one is the better prospect?
