What's next for the Flyers?

It was the kind of game that validates Paul Holmgren's opinion of the Philadelphia Flyers, even despite their disappointment this season.

"I still really like our team," Holmgren said when we chatted last week.

On Tuesday night, they shared another glimpse of what could have been. Claude Giroux was setting up goals. Young forwards Matt Read and Jakub Voracek were scoring them. They were a team playing hard and scoring on one of the better teams in the league, beating the playoff-bound Bruins 5-2.

The Flyers' season will soon be over, much sooner than anyone in Philadelphia expected, and Holmgren has tough decisions to make. How much influence does he let a shortened season without a training camp and filled with injuries affect his long-term plan with the Flyers?
