Our preseason evaluation process for the 2014 NFL draft is in full swing, and it's taken plenty of work just to get to this point.

We begin the process with an enormous list of more than 10,000 draft-eligible prospects from across all divisions, then whittle that down to the top 250 or so based on production, players who have flashed during previous film study of other players and those who show height-weight-speed potential.

We then follow a process similar to that used by most NFL teams, which includes breaking prospects down into tiers and assigning scouts specific players to evaluate.
