Strong indicators for Nerlens Noel

Nerlens Noel missed his sophomore season at Everett High School due to a broken leg. He went down with a torn ACL and a partial tear in his meniscus in a fluke injury this past February when he ran into the backboard support in Gainesville.

There are questions. Not just whether he can score in the NBA and if he's anything more than a defensive stalwart. Not just whether his lithe frame can handle the punishment of giving up 50 or so pounds against opposing big men in the paint.

Is Noel injury-prone -- and will his knee stand up to the rigors of the NBA?

Since surgery in mid-March with renowned doctor James Andrews, Nerlens has spent the bulk of his time in Alabama working alongside Kevin Wilk, the associate clinical director for Champion Sports Medicine.

Wilk, who worked briefly with Adrian Peterson and also NBA players Shaun Livingston and Jamal Crawford, addressed a few key items.
