PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Marcus Paige, North Carolina

The sophomore guard established career-high point totals in consecutive games at the Hall of Fame Tip-Off Classic. He had 32 in a win over Louisville.

TEAM OF THE WEEK: Oklahoma State

The Cowboys were impressive in a 101-80 win over Memphis. Marcus Smart scored 39 in that win.

COACH OF THE WEEK: Alan Major, Charlotte

He led the 49ers to the championship of the Puerto Rico tournament, with a victory over Michigan in the final.

DIAPER DANDY OF THE WEEK: Kennedy Meeks, North Carolina

He had 13 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists in the upset of Louisville. His outlet passes reminded me of Wes Unseld.

SHOCK OF THE WEEK: North Carolina Central over NC State

You do not expect to see an ACC team lose at home to NC Central. The Wolfpack fell 82-72 in overtime.
