PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Doug McDermott, Creighton

McDermott hit 16-of-23 shots, scoring 35 points while grabbing seven boards in a win over Tulsa. He followed that up with a 27-point effort in a win over Northwestern.

TEAM OF THE WEEK: Georgetown

The Hoyas were picked 10th in the Big East preseason poll and now sit 10-1 after a 70-59 win over Memphis.

COACH OF THE WEEK: Trent Johnson, LSU

The Tigers have won six in a row. This week, the Tigers upset Marquette and avenged last season's 20-point loss by winning at North Texas.

DIAPER DANDY OF THE WEEK: Kyle Wiltjer, Kentucky

Wiltjer scored a career-high 24 points in a win over Loyola-Maryland.

SHOCK OF THE WEEK: Wagner over Pittsburgh

Stock up for Danny Hurley as Wagner beat a ranked opponent for the first time since knocking off Alabama and Reggie King in 1978. That game was at Alumni Hall on the campus of St. John's.
