Saint Mary's-Murray State showdown

I cannot wait to go to Murray State this weekend!

BracketBusters should be special, baby, and the Saint Mary's-Murray State game really excites me. First of all, Racer Nation has been sending me tweets, wanting to get me there. Well, my friends, I am coming there and 8,600+ fans will be rocking and rolling.

This contest is excitement galore between two top 20 teams. The Racers were 23-0, the last unbeaten in Division I college hoops before the shock city loss to Tennessee State. I cannot wait to see Isaiah Canaan in person. He has had a number of electrifying games this season.

Steve Prohm has enjoyed one of the best rookie seasons for a head coach in Division I history. His team has victories over Memphis, Southern Mississippi, UAB and Dayton. This weekend presents another challenge.

Saint Mary's has been special over the last few years. The Gaels made the Sweet 16 during the 2010 big dance, beating Richmond and Villanova along the way. Randy Bennett has done an amazing job there; think about the fact Saint Mary's won two games the season before Bennett took over. Now this program is always in contention in the WCC, forming a great rivalry vs. Gonzaga.

The Gaels have relied on an Australian connection over the years, and the latest success story is Matthew Dellavedova. I am excited to see him in action as he is a PTP'er.

Bracket Busters is a great opportunity for the little guy to improve the resume. A win against a solid team can go a long way in impressing the Tournament Selection Committee. This should be a great test for both clubs.

I know how passionate fans in the state of Kentucky are. The love their basketball, and I cannot wait to get there to call the game with Dave O'Brien. It will be awesome, baby with a capital A!
