Selection Sunday is here. The field of 68 will be set as the NCAA tournament selection committee makes the tough decisions to put together a bracket.

There has been a lot of speculation, but as of Sunday afternoon, I feel there are 63 locks, leaving five spots to be filled. That could change if there are major upsets in the power conferences.

I have gone to the VBDI (Vitale Bald Dome Index) and have my picks for who is in and which teams are going to be sweating tonight.

The last five spots are between 11 teams: Virginia, Oklahoma, Iowa, Southern Miss, Boise State, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Middle Tennessee State, St. Mary's and La Salle.

Of that group, I feel that Oklahoma, Boise State, St. Mary's, La Salle and Middle Tennessee State will make it in.

This has been the best college hoop season in all of my years calling games. The big dance should be special. Right now, the emotion is intense for those waiting to hear the news on Sunday.
