Preseason All-Solid Gold Teams

As I prepare for another season of college basketball, I am thrilled and excited to present my All-Solid Gold preseason hoop squad.

My friends, this is the crème de la crème going into the season. The key is to make the best list at the end of the campaign.

I never put diaper dandies on my preseason teams. Let guys like Andrew Wiggins of Kansas, Julius Randle of Kentucky and Jabari Parker of Duke put on the collegiate uniform before they get placed on a pedestal. I remember when Harrison Barnes was a freshman, he was put on the AP preseason All-America first team. That was too much pressure to perform before he ever stepped on a college court.

This group would be tough to beat if they ever took the floor together. There were some very good players left off my second and third teams, but they will have a chance to prove themselves during the season.
