INDIANAPOLIS -- Rex Ryan didn't wait long to address the issue that was on everyone's mind at the NFL Scouting Combine Saturday.
"I've been working on those abs," the New York Jets head coach told the media.
Ryan got the rock star treatment at the combine as a throng of reporters crowded his podium waiting for that perfect sound byte Ryan has become known for.
Earlier this month, Ryan made news attending a Carolina Hurricanes game. Wearing a Philadelphia Flyers jersey, Canes' cheerleaders convinced Ryan to switch into the home team's gear. In the midst of the switch, Ryan revealed a less than flattering round midsection.
"I thought I had the strap attached to my T-shirt. I didn't. Big mistake," Ryan said. "I was watching ESPN, and was like, 'Oooh, that's not a real good shot. But don't get me wrong, I get hit on all the time."
