It's just a coincidence that Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard has starring roles in two TV shows this weekend and can actually watch them now that his team was knocked out of the NBA playoffs on Thursday night.
First up is "NBA Fit," a series encouraging health and fitness for kids and families, on cable channel Disney XD.
The series includes Howard, Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder and Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls, among others. Produced by NBA Entertainment, "NBA Fit" premieres at 4 p.m. Friday.
And on Saturday, Howard is starring in Disney XD's hit animated series, "Kick Buttowski -- Suburban Daredevil" at 8:30 a.m. The show follows an extraordinary kid determined to become the world's greatest daredevil. Small in stature but big in heart, Kick makes the most out of his suburban surroundings and takes on every stunt with unwavering enthusiasm.
"I love how much fun 'Kick' is," Howard said. "Man, that's just like me. I love having fun. Kick is this little kid who's just so animated and everything he does over the top."
