It's going to be a busy few days for Kermit the Frog and his Muppet buddies.
On Wednesday, his latest movie -- The Muppets -- opens nationwide, and on Thursday, he celebrates Thanksgiving.
"I love the holidays. I'm going to be spending time with my family at my lily pad," said Kermit, who stopped by ESPN's offices recently. "I love being at ESPN but I don't know too much about pigskin. Well, except for the kind that I'm dating. I can't eat ham on Thanksgiving for obvious reasons."
Kermit, along with Gonzo the Great, Statler and Waldorf, paid a visit to promote the Muppets' first movie in 12 years. In this film, the world's biggest Muppets fan and his friends must raise $10 million to save the Muppet Theatre from a businessman looking for oil.
Kermit got to hang out with "Mike and Mike," "NFL Live" and "SportsNation." He might not look like an athlete but said he is one.
"I work out all the time. Just look at me. I know how to stay in shape," said Kermit, who was first introduced in 1955. "It's been great meeting so many people here and you guys seem to have a lot of fun."
Gonzo agreed that the time at ESPN was a blast. And he'll be spending time with his chicken girlfriend -- Camilla -- in Hoboken, N.J. He had a thing for Miss Piggy but not now.
"Me and Kermit aren't fighting over her anymore. That was just a passing fancy," Gonzo said. "She's with him. There are no hard feelings on my part."
