On Thursday in Greensboro, N.C., the University of Tennessee survived a scare in the first round of the NCAA men's basketball tournament. The Vols, the No. 2 seed in the Washington regional, edged No. 15 seed Winthrop 63-61 thanks to a Chris Lofton basket in the final seconds. And let's not forget that Coach Pat Summitt and the No. 2 seed Lady Vols open the NCAA Women's Tournament against Army in Cleveland on Sunday.

Why I should be Miss Bracket: My enthusiasm is the key. I give everything I've got to the games. I'm one of the reasons it's now BASKETball time in Tennessee. You can find me in the front row of EVERY game -- men's and women's. My winter weekends belong to basketball, just living and dying by my Vols and showing Pat and Bruce's girls and boys my support.

Why I should be Miss Bracket: I bleed orange! I'm a passionate UT fan. I played basketball in high school so I have a lot of appreciation for it. When it comes to game day, I rally up my friends and head to the arena hours before tip off just to be around the big ORANGE spirit. Bruce Pearl is a hero! Pat Summitt is a legend. Vols have heart and don't play for fame but for the love of the game.

Why I should be Miss Bracket: I grew up in Knoxville where I learned to LOVE all things UT! We are going all the way this year and I will be right there with them every step of the way. UT is number one! Yes, I was born and raised here, but I chose to STAY here because I want to support the fantastic sports teams that I've always believed in.

Why I should be Miss Bracket: If you pass up going to LSU to pay 24K a year just because you believe the Vols' athletic department is where it's at, you know you're pretty passionate about your school's sports. I breathe, eat and sleep UT sports! I love Orange Nation! Go Vols, go!
