In what just might be a preview of the Olympic debut of snowboard slopestyle in Sochi, Canadian riders held three of the top four spots at the Dew Tour. "I couldn't have dreamed of starting it better heading into this Olympic year," said X Games gold medalist Mark McMorris, who threw a triple cork 1440 on his way to a dominating slopestyle win. "You always hope and when it comes true it's really nice. We're putting the Americans on notice."
Even though Chas Guldemond had to settle for fifth place, because the Dew Tour doubled as a U.S. Olympic team selection event and he was the top American finisher, he leads the field in qualification points. Shaun White, the top qualifier for the event, ended up sitting it out after spraining his ankle during the halfpipe finals.
