Torah Bright, a two-time X Games gold medalist, has been mostly missing from halfpipe podiums since her Olympic gold in Vancouver in 2010, leaving Kelly Clark to dominate. Now she's back with a vengeance, posting a score of 95.0 to beat Clark and 14 year-old U.S. Snowboarding rookie Chloe Kim.
Still: "It's never been about winning for me," Bright claims. "I'm a snowboarder and not a competitor. I want to be the best snowboarder I can be, and that's always been my goal." In Sochi she's aiming to represent Australia in the halfipe, slopestyle and boardercross events.
