The Texas Longhorns legend and Olympic gold medalist has been nicknamed "Spin Doctor" because of the way she can make the ball turn. And in cricket, spinners are renowned. Add the run-up before the pitch and you get a fundamental similar to a cricket bowler. In the first half of the 19th century, underarm bowling dominated cricket.
