Castro gets dressed before dawn the morning of the marathon. On his back are two tattoos. On his left shoulder: An eagle backdropped by the American flag and the POW/MIA logo, holding two arrows, underscored by the date "Sept. 2." It is also missing a talon and its left eye. On his right shoulder: An angel bordered by two sets of footprints that merge into one, underscored by the Latin phrase "Ecce ego, mitte me," which is the Latin translation of the Bible verse Isaiah 6:8, when Isaiah says to God, "Here I am, send me." He got both tattoos after the mortar round.
