One of the more dramatic late-round NFL draft moments came when Caleb Campbell, a standout safety at Army, received a phone call telling him he'd been drafted in the seventh round by the Detroit Lions and seemingly spared immediate service during the Iraq war. Cheers erupted, and Campbell joined the Lions in rookie camp, but a late ruling required him to go overseas for two years. Campbell's NFL dream was eventually fulfilled, however; he played two games with the Lions in 2010.
