In 2013, the Skatepark of Tampa will celebrate its 20th year in business. It started the party with the 2012 Tampa Am contest Dec. 9. Tampa Am is the one true proving ground for amateur skaters wanting to make a splash with their sponsors and get the nod to turn pro. This year was no different with more than 250 skaters entered. It came down to one of the youngest X Games competitors Jagger Eaton and the Flip Skateboards wunderkind Alec Majerus. Majerus laid down the hammer and topped the podium while Davis Torgerson came in second, followed by Eaton.
