Rise: He led Michigan State to its only national championship under Tom Izzo, won Big Ten Player of the Year in 1998 and 1999 and was named a first team All-American in 1999 and Final Four Most Outstanding Player in 2000.

Fall: He averaged 5.4 ppg in his first NBA season, played on four teams in six seasons, bounced between the NBA and D-League and was done playing by 2009.
