Their fighting styles meshed perfectly to produce an all-time classic as Pryor attacked with abandon and Arguello, seeking to take Pryor's junior welterweight title and become the first fighter in history to win titles in four divisions, countered beautifully. Pryor got stronger in the late rounds, some believe because of whatever was in a mysterious water bottle given to him by disgraced cornerman Panama Lewis. Pryor hammered a fading Arguello in the 14th round, landing more than a dozen shots before the referee stepped in and Arguello slumped to the canvas.
