Breast cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer in women in the U.S. and a leading cause of cancer-related deaths. Every October, the action-sports community creates "pink products," from apparel to hard goods, to help raise awareness and funds to fight breast cancer.
For the fourth year in a row, SUPRA has created a limited-edition shoe -- dubbed "Pink Party Society" -- in support of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. "I've been fortunate to have a lot of strong, talented and passionate women in my life," says SUPRA co-founder Angel Cabada, "and through my friend Elyse I saw how much she, and many others, suffered losing their loved ones [to breast cancer]. My partner and the designers at SUPRA all agreed we needed to do something to support the fight against cancer, so we did what we do best: We made a shoe that we felt would stand out and help raise awareness in the sneaker community."
