In what many are calling a possible Super Bowl preview, the 49ers and Patriots both catch fire offensively throughout the game, but it's the New England defense that pulls off the play of the game. With New England already leading 14-0 in the second quarter, Aqib Talib picks off a Colin Kaepernick pass and returns it 39 yards to the house to give the Pats a commanding 21-0 lead. The 49ers storm back, closing the gap to five points late in the fourth quarter thanks to a Michael Crabtree touchdown, but it's too little, too late, as New England manages to close out the game on the ground, picking up the hard-fought, 28-23 victory.
