NHL uniform design is slowly recovering from the blow it suffered when Reebok's Edge template was imposed on the league in 2007. Some teams have moved away from the more annoying aspects of the Edge format, and others have found ways to make the Edge system work for them.

But at the end of the day, most of the best-looking NHL teams are the ones that have stuck to the basics. Here's our assessment of how the league's uniforms stack up (just click on each team's name to see its current uniform set):
