CLEVELAND -- Cleveland Browns wide receiver Davone Bess was placed on the reserve/non-football illness list on Saturday.
The move means Bess will miss the Browns' final two games this season. The Browns said Bess was placed on the reserve list for "personal reasons."
The decision is not because of any illegal activities, a source close to the team told ESPN.com.
Bess had a very disappointing season, finishing with 42 receptions for 362 yards. ESPN Stats & Information credited Bess with nine dropped passes, second-highest in the league.
With Bess out, an already thin receiving corps gets thinner. Josh Cooper or Brian Tyms would move to the slot for Sunday's game against the New York Jets.
