Florida State trailed Auburn by four points with 1:19 left Monday in the BCS National Championship when Jameis Winston took over. The gravity of that moment would make a lot of folks stop in their tracks. But when your nickname is "Famous Jameis" and you're the second redshirt freshman to ever win the Heisman Trophy? That's the moment you live for. And Winston's performance in rallying Florida State to the BCS title earned him the No. 1 position in the Cross-Sport Power Rankings this week.
Winston wasn't the only quarterback who turned in a heroic performance this week. Andrew Luck finished No. 2 after he led the Colts' 28-point comeback against the Chiefs, with his favorite wide receiver, T.Y. Hilton, finishing fifth. Record-setting Clemson receiver Sammy Watkins finished third for his standout performance in the Orange Bowl, while Colin Kaepernick, who led a 49ers comeback win at Green Bay, placed fourth.
