Lightweight titlist Richar Abril will make his second defense when he travels to Moscow to fight Eduard Troyanovsky on March 15, according to Russian promoter Vlad Hrunov.

"I have a deal with Abril," Hrunov told ESPN.com on Wednesday. "It's a big fight for our country." The fight will be Abril's second bout outside the United States. In 2011, he traveled to Panama and won a unanimous decision against Panama's Miguel Acosta in a 135-pound interim title bout.

Abril (18-3-1, 8 KOs), 31, a Cuba native living in Miami, was eventually elevated to a full titlist and made his first defense last March, winning a unanimous decision against Sharif Bogere in Las Vegas. Abril has not fought since, in part because a November defense in Japan against Jorge Linares was scrapped when Abril suffered an ankle injury a week before the fight and was forced to withdraw.

Troyanovsky (17-0, 14 KOs), 33, of Russia, a pro since 2009, has faced very limited opposition but won all four of his bouts in 2013, each by knockout inside two rounds.

On the undercard, European cruiserweight titlist Grigory Drozd (37-1, 26 KOs), 34, of Russia, who won the belt by knocking out Mateusz Masternak in the 11th round in October, will make his first defense against Jeremy Ouanna (14-8, 3 KOs), 32, of France.
