Stevie Brown will re-sign with the New York Giants, the veteran safety announced Tuesday on his Twitter page.
put the ink to the paper happy to say I'll b in NY for the 2014 seasons, thanks to my man @blakebaratz gettin the deal done #Giants- Stevie Brown (@StevieBrown27) March 11, 2014
After stepping in for injured Kenny Phillips and recording eight interceptions in 2012, Brown was slated to be a starting safety for the Giants in 2013.
But he suffered a torn ACL in the 2013 preseason and missed the entire season.
Brown, who turns 27 in July, was a seventh-round pick by the Oakland Raiders in 2010 out of Michigan and played for the Indianapolis Colts in 2011 before joining the Giants in 2012.
