The Buffalo Bills will re-sign tight end Scott Chandler to a two-year deal, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter on Thursday.
Chandler, 28, set career highs last season with 53 catches for 655 yards. He also led the Bills, who had the NFL's 28th-ranked passing offense, in receptions and receiving yards.
However, the 6-foot-7, 260-pound tight end's production in the red zone dipped considerably last season, his fourth with the Bills. After catching nine touchdown passes inside the opponent's 20-yard line from 2011 to 2012, Chandler made just one catch in the red zone last season.
Chandler played in 79.1 percent of offensive snaps, most among the Bills' tight ends. He saw action in 16 games, making seven starts.
