KEY BISCAYNE, Fla. -- Three-time champion Venus Williams defeated Anna Schmiedlova 6-3, 6-3, as the oldest player in the women's draw at 33 advanced to the third round in her 15th time competing at Key Biscayne.
"It's good to be here still as an oldster," Williams said.
