Kentucky sophomore big man Willie Cauley-Stein's status for the rest of the NCAA tournament is uncertain after suffering an ankle injury early in the Wildcats' Sweet 16 victory over Louisville on Friday night.
"It's not a good ankle injury. Let's put it that way," Wildcats coach John Calipari said after the game.
The injury came early in the first half. He did not return to the game.
The Wildcats beat Louisville, 74-69, and advanced to the Elite Eight -- where they will face Michigan on Sunday.
Cauley-Stein entered Friday averaging 7.0 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.9 blocks per game this season.
