Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Kimmo Timonen will miss Tuesday's game against the St. Louis Blues with an upper-body injury, the Philadelphia Daily News reported Monday.
Since winning a bronze medal for Finland in Sochi, Timonen has scored 10 assists and three goals in 14 games, including a goal and an assist in Sunday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Boston Bruins.
Timonen and forward Steve Downie are day to day, the team said. Timonen did not make the trip.
The Flyers return home to face the Columbus Blue Jackets on Thursday. They sit in sixth in the Eastern Conference, two points ahead of the Detroit Red Wings.
