VIRGINIA WATER, England -- The European Tour has been forced to move one of its events from South Korea to Singapore with only three weeks' notice because of "staging issues."
The Championship was due to be staged in Incheon from May 1-4 but the tour said Thursday it will now be held at the Laguna National Golf and Country Club in Singapore.
"The promoter, PMG, could not reach agreement with a suitable venue," said Keith Waters, chief operating officer and director of international policy for the European Tour.
Laguna National hosted the Singapore Masters between 2002 and `07 and the Singapore Open from 2009-12.
