Forecast: Roy to win Jack Adams

Head coach Patrick Roy of the Colorado Avalanche
Patrick Roy's rookie season as an NHL head coach (and executive) has been a smashing success.

There was no question among our panel members about who should win the Jack Adams Award: Colorado's Patrick Roy.

In his first season as an NHL coach, Roy brought his intensity as a player to the bench, from Game 1 to 82. The Avalanche responded by winning the Central Division after missing the playoffs the previous three seasons.
