Francisco Liriano leaves game

Associated Press

ST. LOUIS -- Pittsburgh Pirates starter Francisco Liriano left the game with flu-like symptoms and dizziness in the third inning after walking Cardinals pitcher Tyler Lyons and going to a 3-0 count on leadoff man Matt Carpenter

Liriano, who is 0-3 in six starts, met with a trainer on the mound before leaving in a scoreless game Saturday.

Stolmy Pimentel threw ball four to Carpenter and the Cardinals loaded the bases on a two-out single by Matt Adams before Yadier Molina struck out on a full count.
