CHICAGO -- Blackhawks forward Andrew Shaw will not play against the Minnesota Wild in Game 2 of their Western Conference second-round series Sunday due to a lower-body injury, coach Joel Quenneville said.
Quenneville said Shaw would likely play in Game 3 in Minnesota on Tuesday.
"He's out for today" Quenneville said before Game 2. "We'll see the next game. We're looking at him likely playing."
Quenneville would not say who would replace Shaw in the lineup for Game 2.
Shaw was injured after taking a hit from Wild defenseman Clayton Stoner in the first period during Game 1 on Friday. Shaw was hit into the boards and fell to the ice. He limped off and went to the dressing room. He did not return for the remainder of the game.
Shaw has two goals, two assists, a zero rating and has averaged 15:54 of ice time in seven playoff games this season. He had 20 goals, 19 assists and a plus-12 rating in 80 regular-season games.
The Blackhawks lead the series 1-0.
