|IN THE SPOTLIGHT|
Yolanda Griffith, Sacramento
Candice Griffith, Yolanda's daughter, must have asked for her mommy to win a championship this year, because Yo is playing incredible basketball. It's hard for an All-Star and former MVP to raise the level of their game, but Griffith really has.
Griffith played for Maura McHugh in the ABL, and since McHue has taken over this Monarchs club, Griffith has played inspired, tenacious basketball. She can play the one or the five -- she's that versatile.
If Sacramento is going to be a contender, Griffith has to -- and can be -- the catalyst. She must set the tone for her teammates with her attitude and focus. If Griffith starts thinking next-level basketball, she can lead her team as far as they can dream of going.
