Is the "Dream" dead?

In 1992, the original NBA "Dream Team" stoked the world's imagination during the Barcelona Olympic Games. With Magic, Bird, Jordan, Barkley, et al. on the floor at the same time, the U.S. team was a fan's fantasy come true.

But ten years later, the Dream Team concept has lost its luster. A decade of lesser stars, uninspired play and questionable behavior has caused many in the U.S. and around the world to question whether the U.S. should continue sending NBA players into international competition. And, many ask, we know the best basketball is played in the U.S., so hasn't the point been made already?

We want to know what you folks think. Give us your opinion in the box below and we'll publish some of your letters on the SportsNation page.

Should the "Dream Team" stay alive or be scrapped? How should the U.S. team be selected?
