Sophomore Boggan played sparingly

GAINSVILLE, Fla. -- Center Mario Boggan has decided to leave Florida in hopes of going to a program where he can get more playing time.

Boggan, a 6-foot-6, 290-pound sophomore, played in 16 games last season and averaged 2.3 points and 1.9 rebounds a game.

He was not expected to get much court time this season because Gators coach Billy Donovan wants to press and run more than he has the past few years.

Boggan is thought to be considering North Carolina State, Missouri, Virginia Tech and Clemson.
