Lions cut CB Alex Molden

ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- Veteran cornerback Alex Molden was cut by the Detroit Lions on Tuesday, less than a month after he signed with the team.

Molden played two games for the Lions after he was released by the Washington Redskins in training camp.

He started 16 games and had three interceptions last year for San Diego. A first-round pick of New Orleans in 1996, he spent his first five seasons with the Saints.
