Eagles' Mayberry likely out one game

PHILADELPHIA -- Philadelphia Eagles guard Jermane Mayberry isn't expected to play against the New York Jets on Sunday because of a strained elbow.

Mayberry left Sunday's 14-10 victory over the New York Giants in the third quarter after aggravating the injury. He originally was hurt on Sept. 28 against Buffalo, reinjured the elbow the following week against Washington and didn't play against Dallas last week.

Eagles coach Andy Reid said Mayberry "most likely" will be out this week. All-Pro safety Brian Dawkins (foot) also is out. He hasn't played since he was hurt in the season opener.

Quarterback Donovan McNabb still is bothered by a right thumb injury, but that hasn't forced him to miss any action. Reid said he might hold McNabb back in practice a little this week to allow the injury to fully heal.
