Fox to undergo knee surgery Tuesday

TUCSON, Ariz.-- Arizona forward Isaiah Fox will undergo
arthroscopic surgery to repair his injured left knee, the school
announced on Monday.
Fox, one of three juniors on the team, was injured in the first
half of the Wildcats' 78-77 loss to Florida on Friday. The loss
dropped Arizona from fourth to seventh (No. 8 ESPN/USA Today; No. 7 AP) in the national rankings.
Coach Lute Olson had said Fox was greatly improved over last
season and figured to have significant playing time in a reserve
role. He had 15 points and 11 rebounds -- his first career
double-double -- in the team's season-opening victory over Northern
An MRI on Monday revealed a meniscal tear. The surgery will be
performed on Tuesday.
ESPN.com's Andy Katz reports that Fox is likely to miss three to six weeks after surgery.
Depth along the front line already had been a concern for Olson.
Arizona's next game is at Saint Louis on Saturday.
