Gators, Vols grab quarterbacks

Miami-Florida has Top 150 linebacker Willie Williams of Miami-Carol City, Fla., over Florida and Florida State; Top 150 linebacker James Bryant of Reading, Pa., over Pittsburgh, Florida and Ohio State; and Top 150 running back Andrew Johnson of Pittsburgh-North Hills, Pa., who decommitted from Pittsburgh.

The USC Trojans gained Top 150 defensive lineman/linebacker Eugene Germany of Pomona, Cal., over Michigan; and Top 150 receiver Dwayne Jarrett of New Brunswick, NJ., over Ohio State and Virginia. Among others were Iowa and Pittsburgh.

Tennessee has collected Top 150 quarterback Brent Schaeffer of Deerfield Beach, Fla., offensive/defensive lineman Ell Ash of Willingboro, NJ; and Robert Ayers, a Top 150 linebacker from Bennettsville-Marlboro County, SC.

The Florida State Seminoles have Top 150 defensive back J.R. Bryant of Miami-Killian, Fla., over Miami-Florida and Florida; defensive back Joe Manning of Tallahassee-Lincoln, Fla; and Super Prospect defensive lineman Emmanual Dunbar of Deerfield Beach, Fla., over Oklahoma. The Seminoles recently gained Top 150 linebackers Rodney Gallon of Tallahassee-Lincoln, Fla; Jae Thaxton of Hartwell-Hart County, Ga; and Lawrence Timmons of Florence-Wilson, SC.

The Florida Gators collected Top 150 quarterback Cornelius Ingram of Hawthorne, Fla., over Florida State; Super Prospect defensive lineman Michael Brown of Atlanta-Westlake, Ga., who decommitted from Georgia; Super Prospect receiver Derrick McPhearson of Hyattsville-DeMatha Catholic, Md., over Maryland, Penn State and Virginia Tech; tight end Dane Guthrie of Miami-Killan, Fla., who decommited from Miami-Florida; and linebacker Javier Estopian of Miami-South, Fla. The Gators recently gained Top 150 defensive lineman Derrick Harvey of Greenbelt-Eleanor Roosevelt, Md., over Maryland, Ohio State and Tennessee.

Auburn pledged Top 150 defensive back/linebacker Tony Bell of Alabaster-Thompson, Ala., defensive lineman Pat Sims of Fort Lauderdale-Dillard, Fla; and tight end Darrell Strong of Plantation, Fla., who decommitted from Pittsburgh.

South Carolina has Top 150 defensive lineman Marque Hall of Marshfield-Forest Hills, NC., over North Carolina State, Tennessee, North Carolina and Virginia Tech; and touted receiver Sidney Rice of Gaffney, SC.
