Barry Bonds, I am sorry, I mean San Francisco OF leads the Giants into Los Angeles to face Jose Lima and the Dodgers. Bonds has a career .474 average with four home runs against Lima. You want to keep in mind, though, that later this month, the Giants head to Colorado. Keep that in mind if you want to pick Bonds.
Frank Thomas and the White Sox head to Minnesota to face Johan Santana and the Twins. Thomas, who has 18 home runs this year, has a career .455 average with one home run against Santana. Thomas is hitting .282 this year, and hitting .293 on the road. Sleeper Pick
Rondell White and the Tigers host the Cleveland Indians and C.C. Sabathia on Thursday. White has a career .333 average with one home run against Sabathia. White is also hitting .341 this year against lefties.
Rounce's IMF Team Update
Adam Dunn went 0-for-4 yesterday to drop my average to .270, but a home run by Kevin Mench on Monday has me with 3,102nd Triple Crown ranking. Today, for the final day of June, I am going with Brad Wilkerson and his matchup with the barely average Paul Abbott.
Diamond Daily happenings
Richard Britton is in the catbird seat with 14 home runs, but has used all of his gamedays and so can only watch as one of the two that are one behind him takes their best shot. Of the two tied one behind Richard, only one has a game day left. Kenneth Simonds has taken over the lead of the RBI leaderboard with 38, two ahead of 2nd place. Like the home run leaderboard, Simonds can only watch and hope that those behind him do not have a big final day. Steve Smith is still atop the average leaderboard and hasn't played anybody since grabbing that league, a very sound strategy. Ryan Brown needs at least a 5-for-5 outing from his pick today to win the category.
