Pistons re-sign Darvin Ham

Associated Press

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -- Reserve forward Darvin Ham re-signed with the NBA champion Detroit Pistons on Monday.

He averaged 1.8 points, 1.7 rebounds and nine minutes in 54 games during the regular season. He appeared in 21 games during the playoffs. Ham, 6-foot-7, scored a season-high 11 points in 14 minutes against Orlando in April.

"His veteran leadership on and off the floor was a large part of our success last year," said Joe Dumars, president of basketball operations. "Darvin's athleticism and tenacity on the defensive end are two qualities that we like."
