Malone could decide soon

Karl Malone is inching closer to retirement.
The second-leading scorer in NBA history will make that decision in the next few weeks, Dwight Manley, Malone's agent, told the Los Angeles Times.
The San Antonio Spurs have expressed interest in Malone, but he has not committed to a team after finishing last season with a knee re-injured in the Los Angeles Lakers' playoff run.
"Probably toward retirement, just because that's what he is right now, theoretically," Manley told the paper. "Things usually go the direction of where you're at."
Lakers owner Jerry Buss has offered Malone a front-office job if he retires.
