1. Noble Causeway. There should be enough speed to set up a horse coming from midpack, and I'm going to take a shot with Noble Causeway. He could work out an excellent trip from post 3 under Gary Stevens.

Perhaps the son of superstar Giant's Causeway will be the latest Derby dud who comes up big at Pimlico. I liked him going into the Derby, where he was sandwiched and checked early and never ran. At least he didn't have a hard race like the first three finishers in the Derby. He worked well this week at Churchill, and unlike many of the others in here, he still has upside. I feel sure that 1 3/16 miles will suit him well, and he could be sitting on a career top after getting a needed tightener in the Derby off a five-week layoff. If he doesn't run a career top, he won't hit the board, but I was impressed with his finish in the Florida Derby and think (hope?) he can come up big. Yeah, those are a lot of ifs, but at odds of 10-1 or so you have to take some risks.
