Media Credential Applications Available June 1

ESPN X Games' media website, ESPN Event Media, will be accepting credential applications beginning on June 1st for X Games 11 in Los Angeles, August 4-7. The deadline for credential applications and assignment letters is August 1, 2005.
Members of the press can apply for credentials to X Games 11. The credential application is available online at ESPN Event Media. While on the website,
members of the press can read the latest press releases and download photos from
previous X Games.
There are three different passes available. Still Photographers should apply for a PHOTO
credential while all other member of the press (including radio personalities and television
stations) should apply for a MEDIA credential. All agents and publicists should apply for
a PUBLICIST pass and remember to list the athlete(s) who will be represented.
NOTE: There is small change to the application format. You must have an approved
username and password to apply for credentials to cover X Games 11. If you or your
media outlet do not have a registered site access username and password please be
sure to fill out that application as well. If you forgot your username or password, click on
the forgot password button on the homepage.
The X Games annually gather the world's best action sports athletes from five sports. X
Games 11 will include: BMX Freestyle, Moto X, Skateboard, Surfing and Wakeboard. The
X Games are the premier and original summer action sporting event.
ESPN and ABC will provide 14 hours of original LIVE X Games 11 programming from
August 4-7. ESPN will also present four late-night highlight programs starting August 5,
resulting in 18 hours of original programming for X Games 11. Also, for the first time, the
event will air live on ESPN Deportes, ESPN's 24-hour Spanish-language sports network.
Portions of the X Games will be televised live on ESPN International to more than 75
countries and territories in the Pacific Rim, Middle East and Africa. Overall, this year's X
Games coverage will reach 191 countries and territories in 11 languages worldwide.
SportsCenter, ESPN's flagship daily news program, will report LIVE from X Games 11
from August 4-7, and will be hosted by Linda Cohn. Each of those nights, the 11 p.m. ET
SportsCenter will contain event coverage from X Games 11.
When and Where:
ESPN X Games 11 will be held August 4-7 with events at STAPLES Center, Home Depot Center and Long Beach Marine Stadium. Credentials will be valid for Surfing, more
information on the venue will follow. Additional information on venue locations and
the competition schedule will be available soon on the media website.
In order to be approved for credentials, requests must be from working members of the media on assignment.
