Florida Panthers-Nashville Predators: The Panthers traded left wing Darcy Hordichuk to Nashville on Wednesday for the Predators' fourth-round pick in this weekend's NHL Draft.
Hordichuk had three goals, one assist and 158 penalty minutes in 57 games for the Panthers last season, before missing the final four games with a broken hand.
In four NHL seasons with Atlanta, Phoenix and Florida, Hordichuk
has four goals and two assists in 130 games.
The pick Florida gets is the 103rd overall.
The Flyers signed 2003 first-round draft choices Jeff Carter and Mike Richards to entry-level contracts, team officials announced.
Carter was the 11th overall pick in the 2003 draft by Philadelphia and Mike Richards went 24th. Both 20-year-old centers signed three-year deals. The Flyers also signed left wing Triston Grant and defenseman Alexandre Picard, general manager Bob Clarke announced.
Carter had one assist in three regular-season games last year for the Philadelphia Phantoms, the Flyers' AHL affiliate, but had 12 goals and 11 assists in 21 playoff games.
Richards had seven goals and eight assists in 14 playoff games for the Phantoms last season.
Grant was a ninth-round draft choice in 2004. Picard was a third-round pick in 2003.
Tampa Bay Lightning: Lightning signed goalie Gerald
Coleman to a three-year contract Wednesday.
A seventh-round pick in the 2003 draft, the 6-foot-4, 205-pound
Coleman spent the past three seasons with London of the Ontario
Hockey League, whom he helped lead to the 2005 championship.
Coleman was 32-2-2 with a goals-against-average of 1.70 with the
Knights last season, both tops in the OHL.
